Being one of the human beings living in the one and only earth, I pledge:

1. To stop doing any activities which may harm the environment and try to make sure that no pollution should be done else where;

2. To take personal action to help solve the climate crisis by reducing my own CO2 pollution as much as I can and offsetting the rest to become "carbon neutral;"

3. To care for the environment by recycling used items and using biodegradable items such as paper bags instead of plastic bag.

4. To increase in the energy efficiency of appliances used by switching off any appliances while not in use and to ensure good working condition of the appliances used.

5. To plant new trees and to join with others in preserving and protecting forests; and use less paper and tissues in my everyday life.

In Malaysia, the birth of Christ is celebrated by Christians in Malaysia in the true traditional style. Most Christians homes are decorated with festoon and colored lights and the Christmas tree is a must! Young Christians go caroling days before Christmas day to usher in the Yuletide spirit. Churches hold midnight masses on the eve of Christmas. The festival is celebrated on a national scale in Malaysia and Christians hold "open house" to entertain their friends and colleagues.

While celebration of Christmas in India vary in vast expanse of India due to the local cultural influence. In South India, for instance, Christians light clay lamps on the rooftops and walls of their houses, the same way as Hindus decorate their homes during the Diwali Festival. Besides, in several states of India a popular custom is to decorate banana or mango tree instead of traditional pine tree. In northwest India, the tribal Christians of the Bhil tribe go out night after night for a week during Christmas to sing their equivalent of carols the whole night through. In Mumbai, which has one of the largest Roman Catholic communities in India, there is a tradition to depict nativity scenes and decorate home with big stars.

Although there is a difference in celebrating Christmas in each country,this event is still held on December 25 each year to commemorate the birth of Jesus, the central figure of Christianity. =D

Hello eveyone, i am Ying Lin! This will be the my 1st blog in life and hopefully i would be active in blogging in the future. Why want to create blog? Well, my answer would be the same as the rest of my classmates, our teacher, Mdm. Flowrese INSISTED us to do so. =) Well, it's not the first time we were asked to do something special like this. As you can see, we have our movie-making for "The Necklace" last year which is a interesting thing to do so. So, what's her purpose by asking us to do this sort of thing? My answer would be... to improve our English as she is our English teacher... =.=

What should i say about blogging? For me, it's not as fun as i thought. Probably it's because i am writing in the "half-sleep" mode now. I couldn't think of anything to write about as i am tired now. In addition, our teacher would be looking for our grammar mistakes. This means, if we write more, our mistakes are more too!! So, i just want to share about how i feel about blogging. I think it's a kind of way to express our thoughts in words. Hopefully i can express my feelings and thoughts here. =)
